Workload Calculation
Here you can specify which work packages and tasks are included in the workload calculation. Items done, labels, and project folders can be used to exclude items. Templates and archived items are always excluded.
Here you can specify which work packages and tasks should not be included in the workload calculation.
The planning bars for work packages and tasks that are excluded from the calculation are not displayed in the team planning.
Done
Work packages and tasks that have been done can be included in the workload calculation or not. This is especially useful if something was done before the planned due date.
Include work packages and tasks that have been done in the calculation if you want to track your original plan. Exclude them if you want to see the available resources with the most up-to-date status.
The central default setting for the organization is made in the settings. Each user can customize this setting individually.
Labels
Projects with specific labels can be excluded from the calculation. This is also possible for subprojects as well as for individual work packages and tasks.
For example, a label with the name Draft can be assigned. This allows test projects or projects that are still in the draft stage to be excluded from the utilization calculation. The same applies to newly added subprojects that have not yet been ordered.
Another option is to assign labels to projects that have not yet been approved, representing different probabilities of occurrence. This allows resource utilization to be displayed according to the probability of occurrence. This makes it possible to ask: "Where do we stand in terms of resources if even the less likely projects are to be realized?"
The central default setting for the organization is made in the settings. Each user can customize this setting individually.
Project folders
All projects in a project folder of this type are excluded from the workload calculation. This also applies to projects in subfolders.
This setting is made centrally for the project folder and cannot be customized by the user.
Templates and archive
Templates and everything archived are generally excluded from the workload calculation. This setting cannot be changed.
Note on display filters
The display filters, i.e., the filters set at the top of the team planning, only affect which planning bars are displayed. However, they do not affect the workload calculation.
Workload of groups
When a group is assigned as responsible for a work package, the effort required for the work package is distributed among all users in this group and the corresponding share is displayed to each user.
However, it can also be set so that the workload is only displayed for the group and is not distributed among the group members.
